RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement
of Crocus Lane and Crocus Circle within the Meadows Second Addition
with sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, bituminous streets,
curb and gutter, and appurtenant work, bids were received, opened,
and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:
Annandale Construction $83,209.24
B & D Underground $94,018.00
Kadlec Excavating $94,901.77
LaTour Construction $86,958.40
Randy Kramer Exc. $89,035.55
Redstone Construction $81,899.55
R.L. Larson Exc. $83,910.43
WHEREAS, it appears that Redstone Construction is the lowest
responsible bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into the attached contract with
Redstone Construction in the name of the City of Monticello
for the improvement of Crocus Lane and Crocus Circle within
the Meadows Second Addition with sanitary sewer, water main,
storm sewer, bituminous streets, curb and gutter, and
appurtenant work. According to the plans and specifications
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the
City Administrator.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposit made with their
bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and
the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has
been signed.
