City Council Ordinance 207ORDINANCE AMENDMENT NO. 207 The City Council of Monticello hereby ordains that Title 4, Section 2, of the City Code pertaining to Multiple Dwelling Building Regulations be amended to read as follows: 4-2-6: CONSTRUCTION OF MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS: (A) Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical Requirements: In addition to code provisions relating to construction of all buildings, the following provisions shall apply to multiple family dwellings: 1. Unless architecturally treated and designed to appear as an integral part of a wall, no air conditioner shall protrude from an exterior wall. 2. All multiple family dwellings containing four or more units required by the building code to install fire doors shall permanently affix a sign on or near both sides of the fire door warning occupants that the fire door must not be blocked open by order of the Monticello Fire Department. Signs posted in accordance with this ordinance shall conform to sign design standards adopted by the City of Monticello.
