MINUTES
MONTICELLO LIBRARY BOARD
March 24, 1987
Members Present:
Pat Schwarz, Marge Bauer, Warren Smith,
Marguerite Pringle, Vern Oleksowicz (GRRL)
Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m.
1. Minutes from last meeting read and approved.
2. organization of Board - we agreed to retain present positions.
3. Meetings: Discussion of whether or not to have a more structured
meeting schedule. Vern Oleksowicz from headquarters agreed that
if our system works, we should continue as before.
4. Vacuum Cleaner: The Kirby Vacuum seems to be best for our use.
Board approved purchase of this.

5. Budget: Warren had a few comments on the final 1986 figures.
All seems fine.
6. Cabinets and Shelves:
a. A patron has requested higher placement of materials. After
some discussion, we decided that this would be impractical.
b. Board viewed new shelves in closet of community room.
7. Community Room: The room is being used less by business people
and more by community groups. There has been some abuse of the
no smoking rule. We will put signs up to remind people of this.
8. Exterior Wall: We looked at the punched in area and the stains.
Warren will investigate this further to see if there is some
remedy.
9. Computers: Lengthy discussion of computers in the library.
Marge suggested borrowing one from the school for a short time
to see how it would be.
