City Council Ordinance 147ORDINANCE AMENDMENT NO. 147
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO DO HEREBY ORDAIN
THAT ORDINANCE SECTION 6-2-14 REGARDING LENGTH OF DOG IMPOUNDMENT
SHALL BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
6-2-14: LENGTH OF IMPOUNDMENT: Any dog which is impounded
in the City Pound shall be kept with kind treatment
and sufficient food and water for the dogs comfort. If such
dog is not known or suspected of being rabid and has not bitten
a person it shall be kept in the Pound for at least five (5)
days unless sooner reclaimed by its owner. If such dog is
known to be or suspected of being rabid or has bitten a person
it shall be kept in the pound for at least fourteen (14) days.
