RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PETITION, ORDERING PREPARATION
OF REPORT, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS,
AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the Council on September 12, 1988
requesting improvements consisting of sanitary sewer and watermain extensions
from Golf Course Road to serve property owners by Floyd Markling, and said
petition has been signed by the required percentage of property owners affected
thereby.
WHEREAS, the petition has been referred to and a report has been prepared by
City Engineer, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron and Assoc. as to whether the improvement is
feaasible and the estimated cost of the improvement.
WHEREAS, the report has been received by the Council on September 12, 1988,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:.
1. The council will consider the improvement of sanitary sewer and watermain
extensions in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting
property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 at an estimated cost of the improvement of
$62,900.00
2. Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Assoc. is hereby designated as the engineer for
this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the
making of such improvements.
3. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 26th
day of September, 1988 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 7:30
p.m. and the City Administrator shall five mailed and published notice of
such hearing and improvements as required by law.
