RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND
CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE IMPROVEMENT
OF COUNTY ROAD 11.8, 39, AND FRONTAGE ROAD
WHEREAS, pusuant to resolution of the Council adopted November 23, 1987, a
report has been prepared by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, City Consulting
Engineers, with reference to the improvement of County Road 118 and County
Road 39 between I-94 and approximately 125 feet east of Mississippi Drive with
watermain, and between Mississippi Drive and County Road 75 along new frontage
road (old County Road 39) with sanitary sewer extensions and appurtenant work,
and this report was received by the Council on December 7.4, 1987.
WHEREAS, it is also proposed to improve East County Road 39 from approximately
125 feet east of Mississippi Drive to a point terminating at the city limits
with sanitary sewer, watermain, and appurtenant work;
WHEREAS, it has been recommended by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, the
City's Consulting Engineer, that work appurtenant to the construction along
County Road 39 between I-94 and Mississippi Drive and Mississippi Drive to the
end of city limits best be performed in conjunction with each other.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider such improvements in accordance with the
reports as amended and the assessment of abutting property for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement
of $637,500.00
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement of the
11th day of January , 19 88, in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall at 7:30 p.m. and the Administrator shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
