RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT, AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion duly adopted by the City Council
on the 15th day of October, 1985, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates,
Consulting Engineer, has prepared plans and specifications for the construction
of a sanitary sewer intercepter line and appurtenant work from Elm Street
to Washington Street, Project 86-1, and has presented such plans and
specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MN:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. That part of the project extending from Elm Street to Washington
Street is hereby ordered.
3. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin
an Advertisement for Bids upon the making of such improvement
under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be
done, shall state that bids will be opened and considered by
the City Administrator and Consulting Engineer at 11:00 a.m.
on February 28, 1986, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
will then be tabulated and will be considered by the City Council
at 7:30 p.m. on March 10, 1986, in the Council Chambers, and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's
check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for
5% of the amount of such bid.
