RESOLUTION REQUESTING DISALLOWANCE
OF A GAMBLING LICENSE
WHEREAS, a copy of a Gambling License Application was duly
presented by the Knights of Columbus, Big Lake Council to the
City Administrator on 22 November, 1985, and
WHEREAS, said application specifies its site of operation
to be "Joyner's Lanes", a private, for profit restaurant and
on-sale liquor establishment, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to donfine gambling licenses
to premises owned and operated by bona fide fraternal, religious,
veterans or other nonprofit organizations inorder to prevent
a proliferation of gambling licenses in the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MONTICELLO that the Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control
Board disallow the application submitted by the Knights of Columbus,
Big Lake Council for a Class B gambling license.
