RESOLUTION REQUESTING DISALLOWANCE
OF A GAMBLING LICENSE
WHEREAS, a copy of a Gambling License Application was duly
presented by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to the City Administrator
on 7 November, 1985, and
WHEREAS, said application specifies its site of operation to
be "Charlie's West", a private, for profit restaurant and on-sale
liquor establishment, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to confine gambling licenses
to premises owned and operated by bona fide fraternal, religious,
veterans or other nonprofit organizations in order to prevent a
proliferation of gambling licenses in the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELLO that the Minnesota Charitable Gambling Control Board
disallow the application submitted by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
for a Class B gambling license.
