RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council
on May 14, 1984, OSM, the City's Consulting Engineer, has prepared
plans and specifications for the improvement of County Road 75
between Otter Creek Road and County Road 39 East, and Hart Boulevard
between the Monticello-Big Lake Hospital and the intersection
with County Road 75, and Cedar Street between the Burlington
Northern Railroad right-of-way and Lauring Lane by constructing
new street surfacing, curb and gutter, and other appurtenant
work, and has presented such plans and specifications to the
Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted
in the Monticello Times and in the Construction Bulletin,
an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for at least 21 days, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state the bids will be opened on
Friday, July 20, 1984, at 11:00 A.M., and will be considered
by the Council on Monday, July 23, 1984, at 7:30 P.M. in
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 250 East Broadway,
Monticello, Minnesota, and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the Administrator and accompanied
by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified.
check payable to the Administrator for 5% of the amount
of such bid.
