RESOLUTION DECLARING MORATORIUM ON
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello currently has a zoning ordinance
addressing a planned unit development (PUD) and the procedures
for the establishment of the same; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello maintains a constant effort to
improve all the ordinances in the best interest of the community
and good government; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the present PUD ordinance
to be inadequate to meet their requirements which would ensure
good government in the best interest of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to adopt a PUD ordinance which
will advance good government and enhance the environment of
the committee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA, that a moratorium is hereby declared on
the development of any new PUDs until the first day of Septem-
ber 1, 1982 by which time a new PUD ordinance shall be adopted
which will better serve the goal of good government for the City
of Monticello.
