City Council Resolution 1982-54RESOLUTION 1982 #54 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BTD AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE SEAL COATING OF CITY STREETS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the seal coating of city streets, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: BA5E BID CONTRACTOR W/SWEEPING ALTERNATE #1 W/O SWEEPING Mr. Melvin Alama .44~ sq. yd. $28,291.12 Batzsr Const. Co. .349 sq. yd. $22,440.00 Buffalo Bituminous .38~ sq. yd. $24,433.24 Allied Blacktop .337 sq. yd. $21,668.43 .40~ sq. yd. $25,719.20 .309 sq. yd. $19,868.08 .365 sq. yd. $23,468.77 .297 sq. yd. $19,096.51 AND IdHEREA$, it appears that Allied Blacktop of Maple Grove, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Allied Blacktop in the name of the City of Monticello for the seal coating of city streets according to the plans and specifi- cations therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders, the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bid- der shall be retained until the contract has been signed.
