City Council Resolution 1981-16
RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF
PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
WHEREAS, a petition requesting the improvement of East River
Street from its existing termination point between Blocks 19 & 24
of Lower Monticello, easterly approximately 628 feet with bituminous
surfacing has been filed with the Council on April 27, 1981,
and declared to be signed by the required percentage of property
owners affected in conformity with Minnesota Statutes 429.035, and
WHEREAS, it is also proposed to improve East River Street between
Blocks 19 & 24, easterly approximately 628 feet with concrete
curb and gutter and to assess the benefited property owners for
all or a portion of the cost of improvements, pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes 429., and
WHEREAS, it is also proposed to repair as necessary the existing
sanitary sewer line beginning between Blocks 19 & 24, Lower Monticello,
easterly to the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF M0NTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
That the proposed improvements be referred to John Badalich,
Consulting City Engineer, for study and that he is instructed
to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the
Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement
is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed
or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated
cost of improvement as recommended.
Motion to adopt resolution was made by councilmember Fran
Fair, seconded by councilmember Ken Maus.
