RESOLUTION AWARDING LOW BID ON
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADING
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello publicly advertised for sealed bids
for the construction of a Municipal Wastewater Treatment Works upgrading,
EPA Project #C270855-03, to be opened August 20, 1980; and
WHEREAS, all bids received were reviewed and tabulated by the City's
consulting engineering firm of Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, with
the Paul A. Laurence Co. submitting a low bid of $4,704,000;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of Monticello, Minnesota hereby authorizes
the award of the Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrading project
bid to Paul A. Laurence Co. in the amount of $4,704,000, as
low responsive responsible bidder.
2. The City Council has also deemed the Paul A. Laurence Co.
bid to be in compliance with EPA Minority Business Enterprises
regulations of December 26, 1978.
Motion was made by Phil White, seconded by Kenneth Maus and
unanimously carried to adopt this Resolution dated September 8, 1980.
VOTING IN FAVOR: Arve Grimsmo, Fran Fair, Phil White, Dan Blonigen,
Kenneth Maus.
