RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING DATE ON
PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS - 1979-1 IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, John Badalich, Consulting Engineer with Orr-Schelen-Mayeron &
Associates, has been directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost
of improving the following areas:
1. Sanitary sewer, storm sewer & rural type streets along Lauring
Lane in Lauring Hillside Terrace from Cedar Street easterly
to Washington Street, and Washington Street northerly to the
Burlington Northern Railroad Tracks.
2. Sewer and water from Oakwood Drive along Cedar Street to Highway 25.
3. Bituminous streets along Dundas Road from Oakwood Drive to
Industrial Drive, and along Industrial Drive from Chelsea Road
southerly to corporate limits.
4. Extension of watermain from Chelsea Road along Oakwood Drive to
Dundas Road and along Dundas Road to Industrial Drive.
5. Extension of sewer from Chelsea Road to and along the property lines
between Lots 3 & 4, Block 2, Oakwood Industrial Park to Dundas
Road and then westerly from this point along Dundas Road approxi-
mately 1,425' and easterly from same point along Dundas Road
approximately 1,150'.
6. Extension of sewer, water and street improvements from intersection
of Dundas Road and Oakwood Drive westerly to connect with Highway 25,
through the J.R. Culp property.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA, as follows:
1. A hearing shall be held on the 22nd day of September, 1980 in the
City Hall at 7:30 P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessments; and
2. All persons owning property affected by such improvements will be
given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessments; and
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of hearing on
the proposed assessments to be published once in the official
newspaper at least two (2) weeks prior to the hearing, and shall
state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall
also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel
described in the assessment roll not less than two (2) weeks prior
to the hearings.
