City Council Resolution 1980-26i ~ a `° RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ISSUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC LIBRARY AND PROVIDING FOR AN ELECTION THEREON BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello, [innesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby determined to issue general .obligation bonds for the purpose of providing money for construction of a public library. 2. The amount proposed to be borrowed shall not exceed $250,000. 3. The proposal to issue such bonds shall be submitted to the voters of the City in conjunction with the general election to be held November 4, 1980. Polling places and judges shall be the same as general election. The polls shall be opened at 7 o'clock A.M. and shall close at 8 o'clock P.M. The City clerk shall give notice of election as required by law by two weeks' published notice in the official newspaper and posting in three public places in the City at least ten days prior to the election. The City Clerk shall cause ballots to be printed in substantially the following form: OFFICIAL BALLOT GENERAL ELECTION CITY OF MONTICELLO NOVEMBER 4, 1980 Instructions to Voters: Voters desiring to vote in favor of the following proposition shall put an (X) in the square before the word "Yes." Voters desiring to vote against the proposition shall put an (X) in the square before the word "No." ^ Yes Shall the City of Monticello issue its general obligation ^ No bonds in an amount not exceeding $250,000 for the purpose of providing money for construction of a public library? ~ ~ (Back of Ballot) OFFICIAL BALLOT GENERAL ELECTION CITY OF MONTICELLO City Clerk Judges The City Council shall meet at the City Hall on November 6, 1980 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. to canvass the returns and declare the result of the election. Adopted by the Council this 6th day of October, 1980, on a motion by Phil White, seconded by Fran Fair and unanimously carried.
