City Council Resolution 1979-04RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON 1979-1 IMPROVEMEE[~TTT BE IT RESOLVID by the City Council of Monticello, Minnesota as follows: 1. It is hereby found and determined that Mr. John Badalich, consulting engineer for the City of Monticello, has reported in a preliminary way that a local improvement hereinafter described as feasible and may best be made as proposed, and not in con- junction with any other improvement, and the estimated costs of said improvements as recommended is $721,1~00.00. 2. Said Improvement consists of the following: A. Alternative (1): Extension of sewer and water from the intersection of Sandberg Road and State Highway 25 thence north to inter- section of Hwy. 25 and Oakwood Drive and south to the intersection of Hwy 25 and Cedar Street (old Hwy. 25), all on east side of Hwy. 25 ditch. Alternative (2): Extension of sewer and water from Oakwood Drive along Cedar Street to Hwy. 25. B. Bituminous streets along Dundas Road from Oakwood Drive to Industrial Drive, and along Industrial Drive from Chelsea Road southerly to corporate limits. C. Extension of watermain from Chelsea Road along Oakwood Drive to Dundas Road and along Dundas Road to Industrial Drive. D. Extension of sewer from Chelsea Road to and along the property lines between Lots 3 & 1N, Block 2, Oakwood Industrial Park to Dundas Road and then westerly from this point along Dundas Road approximately 11x,25 feet and easterly from same point along Dundas Road approximately 1150 feet. E. Extension of sewer, water and street improvements from the intersection of Dundas Road and Oak- wood Drive westerly to connect with Hwy. 25, through the J. R. Culp property. 3. Said proposed Improvement shall be designated as the 1979-1 Improvement and it is proposed to assess all or part of the cost against the abutting property owners pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 1429. 4. A Public Hearing will be held by the City Council on the proposed Improvement at a date to be determined later. 5. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published twice, a week apart, in the Monticello Times, the official newspaper of the City. The last publication shall be not less than 3 days prior to the date of said meeting and said notice shall also be mailed to the owners of property in the area proposed to be assessed not less than 10 days prior to date of said meeting. Motion by Phil White, second by Ken Maus to adopt Resolution this 12th day of March, 1979. Voting in favor: Arve Grimsmo, Dan Blonigen, Fran Fair, Ken Maus, Phil White. Opposed: None. Motion carried.
