City Council Resolution 1978-02 RESOLUTION CTTY OF MONTICELLO AIRPORT STUDY WHEREAS, the Cities of Buffalo, Maple Lake and Monticello, under mutual agreement, have initiated a joint use airport feasibility stud~r; a_n. WHEREAS, the Phase I portion of the study has been completed; anc WHEREAS, the Cities of Buffalo and Maple Lake have decided not to continue into Phase II of the study; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Monticello City Council aelects the potential site referred to in Phase I as Site B for further stud;,1 in Phase II, in order to have more information on which to base future de~.isions rela+.,ive to the possible development of an airport. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes and Directs its representatives on the Monticello Airport Corrunittee to proceed with Phase II of the study. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hez°eby approves of an amend- ment to the contract with Ralph Burke Associates increasing the cost of the phase II feasibility study from $8,500 to $9,700 witr: Federal participation of $7,650, state participation of $960 and Monticello participation to '~e $1,090. BE IT FiJRTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of M~nticell.o hereby autho- rizes and directs its Mayor and City Administrator to e.xPcute t;?:e Minnesota State Aid Agreement on behalf of the City of Monticello relative tc the State of M_innesota's participation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that no efforts toward acquiring land or con- structing an airport shall be made prior to the selection of an environ- mentally approved site. Motion by Gene Walters, seconded by Phil White this 13th day of February 1978, to adopt above resolution. Voting in favor: C. Johnson, G. Walters, P. White. Opposed: D. Blonigen, A. Grimsmo.
