City Council Resolution 1978-04RESOLUTION REDESIGNATING PORTIONS OF STATE AID HIGHWAY'S
WITHIN MONTICELLO
AND REQUESTING COUNTY STATE AID FUNDS
FOR IMPROVING DESIGNATED ROADS
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Monticello hereby
requests the revoking of State Aid designation on CSAH .58 (Fourth
Street) between Locust and Elm and between Pine and Walnut.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello hereby
requests that Walnut Street from Broadway to 7th Street and 7th
Street from Walnut to Trunk Highway #25 be designated as a County-
State Aid Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello hereby
requests funds for improvements to the County State Aid Roads
under the 1977-3 Street Improvement Project to be completed in
1978. Request for funds to include railroad crossing construction
at Elm and Walnut Streets, street widening, blacktop, curb, gutter,
and storm sewer improvements.
Plans and specifications for the 1977-3 Street Improvement
Project are available through John Badalich, consulting engineer
with Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, 2021 East Hennepin, Suite
238, Minneapolis, MN. 55413.
