Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regu3_ar meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of T'Ionticello, P4inresota,
was held on the 27.nd day of June, 1971, at 8:OU o°cl.ack p.m. at
the Village Hall.
The following members were present:
Ron Schlief, 3ames Maus, Richard Martie, Walter. Markling and Bill
Sandberg
and the following members were absent:
none

ON CERTAIi1 IAIPROVEh1ENTS _. __
WHEREAS, a resolution of the Vi.l.lage Council adopted the 18th
day of May, 1971, fixed the 17th day of June, 1971, as tl-ie date far
a public hearing on the following proposed improvements:
Street, Curb and Gutter, Storm Sewerr_, Sanitary Sewer, and Water
improvements as set forth in the following Feasibility Reports:
1. Report February 10, 1970. Street, Curb and Gutter and
Storm Sewer Improvements on all presently traveled streets within
the Village except State Highway No. 152 (Broadway Street and State
Highway #25 - Pine Street). Said improvements have an estimated
cost of $805,000.
2. Report February 17, 1971. Storm Sewer Improvements to
cover t's~~_ ~ pow. ;:ion of t?fe Village 1yiiig south of the railroad tracks ,
west of CedaryStreet, east of Maple Street from ~.~._ ai:~:oa.u ~~u..~.--
south to 6th Street and east of the west edge of Locust Street from
6th Street South to Interstate X94. Said project shall include
Drainage for the Interstate highway with State Participation under
State Project No. 8680-53. The total estimated Village cost is
$83,039.
3. Report February 23, 1971. Sanitary Sewer and Water
Improvements throughout the Village including service connections,
watermain extensions, gate valves and hydrants. Estimated Cost
$94,800

WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be
assessed for the making of these improvements were given ten days'
published notice of the Council hearing through two weekly publica-
tions of the required notice and the hearing was Held and
property owners heard on the 17th day of June, 1971; and
WHEREAS, the consideration of these projects were coritinuecl
for further consideration;.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOi1TICELLO;
1. The improvement as set out in Item 2 above and as set
forth in the report of February 17, 1971 for the area indicated
is hereby ordered as proposed in Council Resolution adopted
May lII,-1971.
2. Meyer-Rohlin, Inc. consulting engineers, were heretofore
directed to prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement and said plans and specifications are hereby
approved.
3. Items 1 and 3 are continued for further consideration
by the Council.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
du~v seconded by Councilman Richard Martie and upon vote being-taken
thereon, try ~~llowir~g voted in favor thereof:

Clerk of the Village of Monticello, Minnesota, do hereby certify
that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract
of minutes of a special meeting of the Village Council held on
Jt:re 2?., .1971., with the original thereof on file in my office and
the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefro« insofar
as the same relates to Street, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer and
Watermain Improvements of the Village.
