E?~TRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETITIG OF THE COUTdCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF b1ONTICELLO, WRIGHT COUNTY, MIT~dNESOTA RE5OLUTIOiV ACCEPTIT~G BID Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of tine Council of- the Village of iZonticello was duly held at the Village Hall on the 22nd day of June, 1971, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Ron Schlief, James Maus, Richard 1~Iartie, Walter Markling and Bill Sandberg. The following members were absent: none * ~ ~ Councilman Martie introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEFTITdG PID WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following im~.~o~.=ements, to wit: Report February 17, 1971. Storm Sewer Improvements to cover that portion of the Village lying 5~u~h of the railroad tracks, west of Cedar Street, east of Maple Street ~rotu the ra.~lroad tracks south to 6th Street and east of the west edge of Locust Street fr"ori~-. _, 6th Street South to Interstate #94. Said project shall include Drainage for the Interstate Highway with State Participation under State Project No. 8680-53 bids were received, open and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement. Amount of Eidder Total Bid Standard Construction Company $137,157 Duluth, Minnesota Komatz Construction Company $159,721 St. Peter, Minnesota and WT-IEREAS, it appears that Standard Construction Company of_ Duluth, Minnesota is the lowest rf.s,~~c;nsible bidder, and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota will pay a portion of said contract costs and the Village share is estimated to be $63,709.29,. ' • • which is below the estimates presented at the public hearing on June 1'7 , 1971 N06V, THEREFORE, BE I^1 RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILhAGE OF MO~TTICELLO: "l. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Standard Construction Company of Duluth, Minnesota in the name of the Village of..~ Monticello for the improvement aforesaid according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the Council and on file in the office of the Clerk. "2. The Village Clerl~ is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except tYiat the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be re- tained until a contract has been signed." The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Markl_ing and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Ron Schlief, James Maus, Richard Martie, Walter Markling and Bill Sandberg. The following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MIiJNESOTA ) COUNTY OF WRIGHT )ss. VILLAGE OF ivTONTICELLO) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Monticello, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said village held June 22, 1971, with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to the issuance and sale of bonds for storm sewer improvements of the village.
