1. A hospital district is hereby authorized to be created pursuant to
Laws of Minnesota 1959, Chapter 570, and acts amendatory thereof and supplementary
thereto, comprising the territory of each of the following municipal corporations
Village of Monticello, Wright County Village of Big Lake, Sherburne County
Town of Monticello, Wright County Town of Big Lake, Sherburne County
Town of Silver Creek, Wright County Town of Becker, Sherburne County
for the purpose of the acquisition, betterment, rperation, maintenance and adminis-
tration of such hospital and nursing home facilities as the hospital board of such
district shall determine in accordance with said Chapter 570 to be necessary and
expedient.
z. The Clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution to bs published
forthwith in the official newspaper, and this resolution shall become effective
forty days after such pvbiication~ unless within said period a petition shall be
filed with this oow~ai3, ,signed by qualified electors of the viblag~ equal in
number to 596 of the number of such electors voting at the Sast preceding election
of officers, requesting a referendum on this resolution; in which case it shall not
become effective until approved by a majority of such qualified electors voting
thereon at an election called for that purpose.
3. Said hospital district shall b¢ deemed duly created after adoption of
a resolution authorizing the sa~ae by the governing body of each of the aumicipal
corporations listed in paragraph 1, by a vote of two-thirds of the members e1e ct
of such body, and after the effective date of the last resolution so adopted.

that said resolution was thereupon duly approved and signed as required by law and
recorded and published in the official newspaper; that a true and correct copy of
the affidavit of the publisher of said newspaper showing such publication is also
hereto attached; that forty days having now passed since such publication, no
petition for referendum on said resolution has been filed with the governing body;
and that said resolution is now in full force and effect.
