IEDC Minutes 05-03-2016MINUTES INDUSTRIAL & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE (IEDC) Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 — 7:00 a.m., Boom Island Room, Monticello Community Center Present: Steve Johnson, Joni Pawelk, Dick Van Allen, Jim Johnson, Darek Vetsch, Don Tomann, 011ie Koropchak - White, Jason Kisner, Mari Lou McCormic, Andrew Tapper Absent: Wayne Elam, Luke Dahlheimer, Don Roberts, Tim O'Connor Others: Jeff O'Neill, Angela Schumann, Jim Thares, Brian Stumpf, Lloyd Hilgart, Marcy Anderson, Pete Gardner (Xcel Energy), Dave Tombers (Xcel Energy) 1. Call to Order Steve Johnson called the meeting to order at 7 a.m. 2. Approve Minutes DICK VAN ALLEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE APRIL 5Tx, 2016 IEDC MEETING. OLLIE KOROPCHAK -WHITE SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 10 -0. 3. Consideration of adding items to the agenda None 4. Reports a. Economic Development • Jim Thares was introduced as the City's Economic Development Manager and staff liaison to the IEDC. IEDC members welcomed Thares to his new role and introduced themselves. • Staff reviewed items included on the upcoming Planning Commission agenda and noted that land use applications involving improvements to Monticello School District facilities are scheduled for consideration. b. TAC: Jeff O'Neill provided a transportation update. He noted that discussions related to the Fallon Avenue Overpass Project were underway. c. City Council: Staff and Council representatives provided project and issue updates and responded to questions. d. Chamber of Commerce & Industry: Marcy Anderson reported on events, projects and issues. 5. Consideration of an update on 2016 City Construction Projects Staff reported on the status of 2016 City construction projects. IEDC Minutes: 5/03/16 6. Consideration of an update on Block 34 Phase II ESA Staff provided an update related to the Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) report for Block 34. 7. Consideration of a report from Business and Industry IEDC members were invited to share information. 8. Adiournment DICK VAN ALLEN MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING.
