FIBERNET MONTICELLO ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
WEDNESDAY, November 13, 2013 — 6 p.m.
Academy Room, Monticello Community Center
Present: Clint Herbst, Glen Posusta, Wayne Mayer
Absent: Jon Morphew, Dennis Sullivan

1. Call to Order
Chair Clint Herbst called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. and established a quorum.
2. Additions to agenda (none)
3. Approval of Meeting Minutes
WAYNE MAYER MOVED TO ACCEPT THE JULY 9, 2013 MINUTES AS
PRESENTED. GLEN POSUSTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED
3 -0.
CLINT HERBST MOVED TO ACCEPT THE SEPTEMBER 10, 2013 MINUTES AS
PRESENTED. GLEN POSUSTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED
3 -0.
4. System updates
Updates were provided by Mark Pultusker on the following topics:
a. System Upgrades Status Report
i. Gigabit Initiative for Fibernet 2.0 — Testing starting
1. Roll -out Process — one cabinet at a time
2. Advertising
a. Customers
b. Economic Development
ii. Minverva middleware Upgrades and what it means
iii. Added redundancy and diversity in equipment and backbone
iv. CSI Receiver installation update — finishing up
5. Product and Service Development Update
Updates were provided by Mark Pultusker and Jeff O'Neill on the following topics:
a. Emerging Marketing Strategy — Discuss
i. Residential Customers
ii. Business Customers

b. Office Hours — Black Friday email and call
i. Discussion regarding what constitutes good service level. Goal is to strike
balance between cost and service level. We need to maintain good home
town service level.
C. Web site update — funds authorized to upgrade web site
d. Virtualization and what it means — Aeroplax, Tapper — use of servers
e. Marketing and PR work - Rachel Leonard
f FTTH Communications Services — update — once testing is done, video and
internet service can be provided
g. Customer Counts — net reduction in 10 month period is 116
h. Subscriber Advisory Committee — Goal is to establish advisory committee in the
future.
6. Update on New Channels (AMC, IFC, etc)
7. Contract Negotiations — FiberNet /FiberConnect
Discussions underway.
8. FNM Open House /Community Forum
Hold in January.
