Purpose of registration in to protect citizens from possible loss due to negligence on the part of the contractor. In their meeting with building; trades contractors Jay Miller and Stan Hall said one of the complaints regarding our current licensing and permit ordinance is that in those trades so specified, a contractor would be constantly running to the building inspector for a permit for every little fob. Both Jay and Stan have reviewed and approved the proposed ordinance. Additionally our city attorney has reviewed and approved it. Possible Action: If council concurs, adoption of the ordinance.
