City Council Minutes 02-15-1973 SpecialVILLAGE OF MONTICELLO Monticello, Minnesota 55362 Phone (612) 295-2711 February 15, 1973 Special meetinn of Village Council -- February 15, 1973 -- 7:30 P. M. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mavor Bill Sandberg. Councilmen present were: Dan Blonigen, Walt Markling, Dick Martie, Jeff Rowan. A 3 nage resolution was presented by Mr. Arland Brusven of Northern States Power Company in regard to the issue of an additional $2.8 million Pollution Control Revenue Bond: Mayor Bill Sandberg stated the resolution had been reviewed by Mr. 4iTliam C. Hoffman, the village attorney for this matter, and that he approved the resolution for signing. The motion to adopt the resolution as presented was made by Dick Martie, seconded by Jeff Rowan. Voting in favor: Blonigen, Markling, Martie Rowan and Sandberg. Opposed: None. (Copy of re- solution attached as Enclosure 1). A discussion was held between Mr. 74U.1_iam Sharpe, the president of Slurry-Kote Service and the Village Council concerning the slurry -seal contract of 1972. No decision was made on this matter. The village attorney, Mr. Gary Pringle, stated. he would keep in contact with the Council through the village office nertaining to any new developments in this case. A discussion was held hetween the village council and Monticello Town- ship recrrding a fire contract that would be a7reeable for both parties. Renresentin.- Monticello Township were Mr. Charles Holthaus, Franklin Denn and Basil Schillewaert. Villa7ze attornev, Gp.ry Pringle, stated the village should adopt a resolution or ordinance authorizing the Village Fire Department to operate otatside of the village limits if such a resolution has not already been adopted. A motion was made by Dan Blonigen, seconded by Dick Martie, that the village enter into an agree- ment with Monticello Township whereby the Township is to pa the villapâ–șe for each fire call. The charge for each fire call will be K200.00 for the first hour or fraction thereof; $75.00 for the second hour or fraction thereof; and $50.00 for each additional hour or fraction thereof. THERE IS TO BE NO STAND1Y CHARGE in this contract as agreed to by the Village Council and Monticello Township. Voting in favor: Blonigen, Markling, Martie, Rowan and Sandberg. Opposed: None. A motion was made by Jeff Rowan, seconded by Dick Martie, authorizing the Village Administrator to draw up a contract and authorizing the Mayor to sign it. Voting in favor: Blonigen, Markling, Martie, Rowan and Sandberg. Opposed: None. A motion to adjourn was made by Dan Blonigen, seconded by Walt Markling. Carried -- all in favor.
