RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE APPROVAL AND ADOPTION OF THE
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA 2008 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City adopted a Comprehensive Plan in 1996 , and;
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to reevaluate its comprehensive plan and
consider and analyze changes that have occurred over the years, and
WHEREAS, the City, through its Planning Commission and other committees and
groups, has undertaken a thorough analysis of changes occurring since the last
Comprehensive Plan and studied projected future development, and anticipated demands
regarding public infrastructure, facilities and services, and;
WHEREAS, the attached 2008 Comprehensive Plan for the City of Monticello has been
prepared for review and approval by the City Council, and;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission for the City of
Monticello, that it hereby recommends that the City Council approve and adopt the 2008
Comprehensive Plan for the City.
Adopted by the Planning Commission for the City of Monticello, Minnesota on the 3 0 th
day of April , 2008.
