Special meeting of Village Council
October 29, 1970 -- 5:00 P. M.
Present: Ron Schlief, James aflia.us, Franz Swanberg, Richard Martie,
14il1_iam Sandberg.
Motion to approve budget by Jar��es Klaus. Seconded by Richard
1 a.rtie. In favor: Schlief, Swanberg, Maus, Martie. Voting no:
Bill Sandberg. Carried.
Sandberg's objection based on questionable legality of expending
funds for Park and Civil Defense in excess of tax levy.
James Maus made motion for resolution to transfer $200000.00 from
Liquor Store funds to General Improvement fund to reduce tax levy
on bond indebtedness. Richard li,11axtie seconded. All voted in favor.
Attorney Pringle directed to research legality of assessment for
funds for Park and Civil Defense. To report to November 10 meeting.
Ron Schleif directed to confer with Dick Brooks re hours and wage
and report to November 10 meeting.
Walt Flack directed to fill posts holes and depressions around
posts in parking lot.
