The special meeting of. the Village Council was called to order at
P:05 P.Y., September 21, 1Q719 by Ron Schleif, Mayor.
Councilmen present: Schleif, darkling, Maus. Martie and Sandberg.
Also present: Mr. Thore Mever, engineers Mr.T. Schneeweis, repre-
senting Ehlers & Assoc.; and the mayors from the following com-
munities:

munit es: St. Michael, Waverizr, Howard T-ake, Maple Lake.
The dele7ates from the neighboring communities met with the vi'_la�e
council to discuss the feasibility of a mutual building inspector.
It was the general consensus of the group to keen this project in
mind but wait and see what the state of Minnesota is going to rear1re
of a building inspector's position.
Mr. Thore Meyer reviewed the bids received on the water and storm sewer
improvement project. After much discussion, a motion was made by Walt
Markling, second by Dick Martie to have a resolution drawn un to accent
the 1971-2 Water Improvement Project bid from Barbarossa & Sons of
Osseo, Minn. in the amount of $70,549.00. The vote was unanimous ,
with all councilmen voting in favor.
The council also voted on the authorization for issuance of General
Obligation Improvement Bonds in the amount of $110,000 and Water
Revenue Bond for $135:000.
These two bonds to be sold as one issue. The motion was made by Walt
Markling, second by Dick ?Martie. Voting in favor: Schleif, Maus,
Martie, Markling. Opposed: Sandberg. Mr. Sandberg opposed on the
grounds he wanted the bonds sold. as separate issues.
Motion to adjourn by Walt Markling, second by Dick Martie at 10:35 P.M.
So ordered.
