Svecial meeting of the village Council called �o order by James
Yaus at 7:40 P. M, Members present: Sandberg, Maus, Martie, Mark -
ling. Absent: Schleif, Granlund.
Meeting turned over to Mr. Phil Chenoweth. Thore Meyer went over
water revisions for Phil and Walt Markling who was absent from the
vrevious meetin7 which covered this. Also, Thore went over street
and storm drains to be redone. This includes the dcwntown area
and Third Street to Pinewood School nronert:r. It was also covered
that certain streets may be closed. Discussion followed on methods
of financing and what would be included.
Discussion led-. to do underground work, water improvements and some
downtown street renewal. Need to pick streets to be done.
Recess called concerning streets. etc.
Woody Naaland, Mary Wolfe and two other Jaycees requested we re-
consider their application for a temporary beer license. Discussion
followed on methods of licensing legally. Dick Martie called G.
Pringle and his opinion was that we cannot legally grant this license.
Jim Powers covered the phone. Sheriffs office Jim said would pay
for phones. Also extra men would be provided in case of celebrations,
etc. Motion by Bill Sandberg to sign contract to he signed by Clerk
and Mayor for 3 month period. Second by `halt Markling. Two copies
needed---- one for county and. one for our records.
Thore Meyer and Bill Elliott returned and discussion followed con-
cerning streets in need of upgrading in downtown area. Feeling
Homs the downtown area people should be notified concerning a herring
on this street uvgrading. Notification to be by mail to neople in-
volved. Thore will draw un the letter and bring in for approval.
Motion made on let�,ers made by Martie, second by Markling. All in
favor.
Motion to adjourn by Markling, second by Martie.
