All councilmen present: William Sand '!"g, Jeff Rowan, Dan Blonigen, Richard Martie, Walter Markling. Planning Commission members present: Robert Davis, Dale Lungwitz, Grant Schleif. Professionals: Charles Tooker, planner and Thore Meyer, engineer. Hearing called to order by Robert Da s who proceeded to report that necessary le~al announcements had bee made and published relating to the h~aring. Mr. Davis introduoed Charles Tooker 0 exPlained the goals and ob- jectives of the plannin~ and zoning a d exolained each phase of the proposed Zoning Ordinance chapter by hapter. Mr. Davis opened the discussion to he ring questions or comments,. Dr. John Kasper: My question is in r gard to C-l zoning. What if I own a lot not compl lng to size measurements. Davis: You may build on it as it is plotted and you own it before adoption of his ordinance. Larry Krenz, Clearwater: Block 5 is designat d C-1. I bought this block for highway business de elopment. Davis: This area does open opportunity for change. zoned C_1 as it is low terrain along here. this area can be co sidered for change. It has been a sign shop, repair shop. It's now a repair shop-- my tenant does renair ork and sells used cars on the side. This is busi ess property. The Planning Commission has no intention of creating a hardshio for any e. We want to nrotect the best interest of everyone. I assure vou. Bids for water carrier lines and one sewer line received last ek. Low bid was $17,634.00. Thore Meyer, engine ~ gave hackground on planning and thinkin~ for orovid ng oroposed lines. Cost is major factor. Placing no at $17,6,4.00. Estimate about $200 oer ft. after lacktopping or over $200,000.
