Special meeting of Vi laze Council called to order at 7:30 P. M,,
Aunust 22nd by William Sandberg, mayor.
Councilmen present: ?111alt Markl.in;r, Jeff Rowan, Dick Martie. Dan
Bloni7en absent.
Discussion followed re7arding anDTication of Kevin LaFrance for
position of )dministrator-Clerk-Treasurer.
Motion by Jeff Rogan to establish position of Admnistrator-Clerk-
Treasurer and eliminate position of Clerk -Treasurer effective
October 1, 1972. Second by Richard Martie. Carried -- all in
favor.
Motion by Richard Martie to hire Kevin L. LaFrance, Richfield Minn.
as Administrator -Clerk -Treasurer effective October 1, 1972. �eeond
by Walt Markling. Carried -- all in favor. Don Graniund, pre.
sent Clerk -Treasurer, will be terminated at that time.
Sandberg announced that N.S.P. desires meeting with Village Council
to discuss bonding for pollution control facilities being installed.
Chamber of Commerce requests meeting with village Council to discuss
further developments on down town elan. Meeting scheduled for
Tuesday, August 29, 8:30 P. M.
Payne Builders request for building permit not acted on rending
adjusting side lot dimension on Linn Street.
Discussion rewarding improvement of Locust Street, Linn Street and
Front Str-et north of. River Street.
Motion by Walter Markling to direct Richard Brooks to contact Brent-
eson (Big Lake Sand and Gravel) and Buffalo Bituminous for estimates
to upgrade and Dave the subject streets. Seconded by Richard Martie.
Carried -- all in favor.
Motion to adjourn by Richard Martie, seconded by Jeff Rowan. Carried -
so nrdered.
