Meeting called to order by Mayor B 11 Sandberg at 8:10 p. M. Councilmen present: Jeff Rowan, D Blonigen, Dick Martie, Walt Markling. Absent: None. Ted Yoch of Bureau Investment pres nted request for a buildin~ per- mit and request for street, water nd sanitary sewer service to site on 7th St. and Hyway 25. Pro osed mall will cover 47,058 square feet. Shell construction e timate at $475,000. Bill Bartolic of Bartolic Construction, presente and explained the plans. Motion by Jeff Rowan, seconded bV an B1oni~en to issue building permit to Bureau Investment contin ent upon their accepting cost estimates of proposed improvements Carried -- all in favor. Motion by Dan Blonisr,en, seconded. . Jeff Rowan to authorize Thore Mever to proceed with nlans, specs and cost estimates for installing 31 ft. surfaced street, A inch w~t r service and 4 inch sewer ser- vice. Carried -- all in favor. Motion bv Richard Martie, seconded bv Dan Blonisr,en to issue buHding 'Dermit to PaYne Builders to build 3 b. r. house on Lot 1, Block 0, Monticello. Carried -_ all in f vor. Motion bv Dan Blonigen, seconded , Jeff Rowan to issue building per- mit to Les Goman to build gara~e a dition on south side of existing gara~e on Lots 4,5,6,?, Block 22. Carried -- all in favor. .. Council reauested that larification of regulations from Liquor Commission be sought. Clerk to check with League of Minn sota Municipalities to determine status of Justice of Peace. Red Michaelis reported on broken ndows on north side of fire building. Motion by Dan Blonlgen, seconded . Jeff Rowan to approve proposal of assessor's office to do 1973 as essment on same terms as 1972 assessment contract. Carried all in favor. Carried all in favor. On bills Barbarossa on 'Walnut St. $7,S20.00. Thore M. felt we have no recourse with Barbaross on driveway problems. To be corrected when Locust, Linn and F nt are upgraded. Motion by Ricnard Martie, seconded by Dan Blonigen to authorize Dick Brooks to contact Brenteson t do stump removal and fill and apply class 5 and fill, roll and s ape 2 blocks of Front St., Linn and Locust. Paver mat to be done ater. Passed by all present. Dick Brooks mentioned 4 places in own in whiah slurry coat is broken up. Area near Catholic Church, ne r Charles hristiansen. Action tabled. Walt Markling brought up the libra y situation. He felt we should go on with the library setup. W: It stated he would talk with Mr. Senness concerning: the situation.
